We've compiled the Totokaelo Members' favorite items. How do we know what those are? When you are logged on as a member, each of the style pages has a heart on it (bottom right). Clicking on the heart turns it from an outline to a solid....and means you *love the item. Here are the 'most hearted' styles.

Hi Jill & Totokaelo community! I read the article in the NYT this weekend about the Six Items or Less fashion challenge: www.sixitemsorless.com. Basically, participants select six items (excluding shoes, lingerie, accessories, and exercise clothes) that they will wear for one month. That's right, only SIX things to wear for a whole month. I want to try it! What items would you pick? What are the ultimate six things that could work together well and hold up in a lot of different situations?

    1. A white v-neck boyfriend cut s/s tee. 2. Tank black dress (like Correll Correll's knit back dress, so lovely for layering and hot by itself!) 3. A black v-neck, grandpa style cardigan. 4. Dark blue denim jeans (roll 'em up for casual) 5. A s/s or 3/4 sleeve length navy/white, boat neck, oversize long top/short dress! 6. For sure, a red/black/navy light weight long sleeve plaid shirt, boyfriend cut of course. Totally gotta get that knit back black dress! O man! And I'm glad I don't have to choose between tights and jewelry, can't skip on the details.

Okay, if I were to drop everything in my closet and do it RIGHT now... I'd have to say: 1. Black shorts 2. Isabel Marant linen tee (I am OBSESSED with the new shipment that just came into TK!!) 3. Long black cashmere cardi 4. Some sort of button up...either plaid or striped 5. A simple black dress (that way I can belt a tee or the button up over it!) 6. An amazing pair of high waisted black pants... so I can either wear as regular skinny black pants or tuck one of my tops into them! I totally agree on accessories though, often times I find I wear the same things with different shoes/socks/accessories and it's a totally different outfit! What would you pick, Jenny? I'd love to hear how your month goes!!

I'm with you guys on most of this. (1) Black jeans for sure (2) white v-neck tee...what are your fav brands for fit? I'm a fan of ultra-soft American Vintage (3) long grey or black cardigan (4) jean short cutoffs while it's still summer (5) a versatile black dress - I'd like to buy a new one - your Correll Correll suggestion is great, though you don't have my size :( (6) Maybe a white button-up, although then I'm stuck with all black and white and might look like a waiter. But there is something really freeing about only wearing two colors. For me the experiment has everything to do with the mental de-cluttering that comes with fewer choices and also valuing and loving every single object that I'm wearing. Plus with fewer clothes, I can focus on buying more shoes!!

INTRODUCING CHRISTINE TRAN (Click to read more)

The following is an interview with Christina Tran. She’s awesome and I LOVED shooting here. She’s also a great photographer who will hopefully collaborate on a shoot for the Totokaelo blog.

The images above are of Christine. The outfit she wore in and the items in her purse, or backpack in this case. I LOVE that she sports a fanny pack IN her backpack. Awesome.

Esservesper's laurel hill

Laurel dropped off my order from her line, ESSERvesper, in person. We love her. Here’s a polaroid I snapped of her and her bf. Cute!

Her rings are kid-you-not some of my favorite pieces I’ve ever seen emerge from the jewelry world.
