Diane, yes they are running true to size. I'm true US 7 and I took these in size 7. As all R. Comey shoes, they are running slightly narrow, but the leather is soft and will give with wear.

I just bought these boots, and they are my 3rd pair of Rachel Comey boots - every, single pair is super comfortable and stylish. Plus given our weather in Seattle you can almost wear them year round. I can wait to get this pair. Totokaelo you are the only boutique I shop at in Seattle - all my other "purchases" are done via on-line, or when I travel. Finally a store with edgy, fashion forward; yet timeless pieces - thank God you're here! P.S. Remember Rachel's shoes tend to run a 1/2 size too small.

Hi Pamela! The Mars boot is such a great wardrobe staple! I would describe the toe as a rounded square toe, and on me the ankle opening was about a half inch in the front and 3/4 an inch in the back. I've found that the mouth of the shoe is definitely not meant to be tight. Also, so comfy!

Christine. Hi! I have several friends who work on their feet all day and they swear by these. I personally haven't worn these for 8-9 hours, so I don't have my own experience to share. But I hope this helps!

hi there...can anyone comment on the "wear" of the black leather? i dislike their sheen, as compared to the acne pistol boot eg (though this could perhaps be lighting.) will it fade as they break in or are they going to remain shiny?

Hello Sarah. You're so right! The lighting is effecting the sheen of the leather. In person, they have a smooth, non shiny surface. Whereas the Acne Pistol boot has a matte finish. These will wear beautifully with age!
