    Hi Fiona! As far as I'm aware the size conversion is the same between US and Australian sizing. I'm typically a 6.5, and I think I'd be the same size in Australia. As for insole length, I'm guessing you need 25.5 centimeters? The soles of the size 8 measure at roughly 26 centimeters, and the 8.5 measures at 26.5 centimeters from heel to toe. Hope this helps!
