When trekking to school in snow these cuties would definitely come in handy! Can anyone tell me what the interior of these are like? Also, what is the sizing like? Thanks!

Can these boots slip right on, or do you need to tie and buckle them? Thanks.
On October 27 2011 Totokaelo wrote
Hi Ritu! You need ti tie and buckle these, it would be pretty difficult to get them on without unfastening.

Thanks for the info!

No problem Ritu! These are really amazing. Super comfortable, extremely practical, and fantastic looking!

Rachel Comey did not produce a size 8 1/2 in these boots! For all you 8.5's out there, you will either need to go up or down. Kim is a true size 8.5 and said that she would wear the size 8 with a medium to lightweight sock. For the size 9, she said she was "swimming in them". If an 8.5 were to round up to the 9, they would need like hiking boot oatmeal wood whole earth sort of socks.....

THIS JUST IN! I had a size 6 client in the shop and she said the 6.5 was the best fit. Christine, our store manager, is a true 6.5 and said she would get the size 7. We had another client in today who is 7.5 and she ended up with the 7.5 The size 8,9, 9.5 are also running true to size. If you're a size 8.5, see my note above!

These boots are amazing! Thank you Totokaelo for working with me to ensure the right size. I purchased the size 37 and am usually a 6.5. These fit with a little extra room for bulky socks if I need them. I no longer dread the rainy days and even wear these on sunny ones. They are comfortable, practical and perfect. I have received tons of compliments. Couldn't be happier! Thanks again ladies.

Hi, very cute shoes, wondering whether they run true to size?
On January 17 2012 Christine wrote
Sandy. Hello! I find that it depends on the size. Please see the above comments for detailed descriptions :)

I love a practical but cool shoe! This fits into that category.

Hi, how are these on the inside? Is there any lining, or just rubber?
On July 02 2012 Rachael wrote
Sofia. Hello! These are lined with leather up until the toe area, which is rubber. These are such a stylish way to face inclement weather!

Curious how these are running in size 10?
On July 12 2012 Christine wrote
Hello Alyson. I had fellow staff member, Jane, try these on in a size 10 for you! She usually always wears a size 10 in shoes. In these, she found them a little big with a thin sock. However, she felt they would be comfortable with a thicker sock in Fall and Winter. I hope this helps!

Just got mine! These are so great. I'm a 6.5 and the 7 is perfect. Can't wait for the slush.

Sofia. That's so good to hear! One great reason to be excited for Winter :)

I've been eyeing these for awhile! My Rachel Comey penpal and mars boots are a size 8. I trust these will fit the same?
On August 18 2012 Christine wrote
Elissa. Hi! Please see Jill's comments regarding fit above. Love these!

I love that Rachel Comey boots come extra roomy to allow room for warm winter socks! To those who have purchased these, one note: don't be fooled by the size stamp on the under sole - half sizes are matched up with whole size soles. To find the size, take a peek inside the boot!

Love these for winter- but my only concern is as a petite (i'm 5'3, size 2) gal with a platypus shoe size of 9 that they'll be too clunky and too much shoe for my frame. Insights?

These are worth hunting up a puddle... just for the excuse to make a big splash, in style!

Hey Cecile - I'm not a team member and don't actually own these boots, so maybe I shouldn't be commenting, lol! But. I recently got the Colfax rain boots and was very pleasantly surprised by how slim fitting they were. Like you, I'm petite, and I have very wide feet, so typically rain/snow boots make me look like I'm ready for a Field and Stream covershoot. But not these, oh no. My feet look positively dainty in them compared to my last pair of boots! Obviously the Baxter is heavier than the Colfax, so it's not going to fit quite the same, but you might be similarily surprised. You can always try them out and return them if they don't work (Totokaelo is so great about that!) Otherwise, if you have some extra bucks burning a hole in your wallet, the Hope survival boot is really great, too - very different from this one for sure, but warm, durable and very smallifying, in my experience. Hope this helps. :)

Cecile. Hi! I am 5'3'', typically a size 0, and a size 7 in shoes. I love all the Rachel Comey Rain boots, particularly the Baxter with the added leather strap and buckle detail! I know I'm not a size 9, but I do love how this rain boot looks on, especially since it's cut lower and not a high rain boot. I feel like this is a much better cut than a high rain boot, on me. Hope this helps!
