    Susan, Hi. I just measured the size small for you! Taken from the back on a flat surface the shoulder to shoulder measurement is approximately 15 inches. Taken from the back from a flat surface the measurement form armpit seam to armpit seam is approximately 17 inches. My co worker Laura who is typically a size XS tried on the size S and she personally liked the fit! I hope this helps.
