The pants are amazing. The fabric is think enough to be very flattering and forgiving but have enough stretch to be comfortable. They're a total score. The only issue I have is the placement of the rear pockets. They're a little high if you already have a bit of a bum (as they're quite bum enhancing). I'm going to baby them to make sure the color stays as black as possible. Totokaelo - do you have any tips for maintaining the color?

J Brand does an amazing job of making extremely comfortable and flattering denim. I tried these on in both a 27 and 28 and although the 27 fit fine, I found them to be a bit shorter and tighter than the 28 and the rise was not as high. I preferred the 28 for its longer more relaxed leg and hitting just at the belly button. I have a 27 inch waist, 37 inch hip, and am 5' 8.5" tall.
