I've been daydreaming about these glasses for weeks! On top of it, the sun has been out in Seattle for the past few days...time for new sunglasses? I've always had a soft spot for tortoise shell frames, and I absolutely love the subtlety of these.

Can someone describe the difference between Leonard and Leonard II. Is it just the lens quality?

Hi Penninah! Comparing them in the store I can tell you that the Leonard II is about 1/4" wider and taller at the front, which makes the entire face and lenses bigger. The frames are also thicker. Aside from that, the Leonard II has three joint rivets at the front instead of two found on the original Leonards. There are also two rivets on each frame arm on the Leonard II, not found on the originals. The joints are also different, the originals have a more flexible joint system than the Leonard IIs. Hope that helps!

I know it was a lot of specifics, but I'm glad I could help you Penninah! I hope Philadelphia's getting some sun (but really, you don't need sun to want to wear a pair of Illestevas)!
