Created by New England-born Lila Rice Marshall, who developed an early love of making jewelry with stones, sea glass and found objects. Years later moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in academic pursuit, where she began metalsmithing and rediscovered the joys of working with her hands. First jewelry line created in 2001, under the name of ROUND Designs Jewelry, eventually blossoming into today's Lila Rice Jewelry. Rice currently lives, designs and handcrafts her line in New York City. The collection's aesthetic embodies opposing elements: the masculine and the feminine, the organic and the industrial, the antiquated relic and the modern classic.
