Brooklyn based with domestic production. Founded in 2008 by Eviana Hartman, previously a fashion writer, who was then writing a column about ecological topics for the Washington Post. Joined in 2009 by design director Claire Lampert, a graduate of FIT with experience at several fashion houses. Inaugural recipient of the Ecco Domani Sustainable Design award in 2009. Bodkin combines sustainable fabrics, new technology and handloomed fabrics from India with salvaged textiles.
