Born 1985, Toronto, Canada. Works between Montreal and New York. Fine Arts graduate of Concordia University, Montreal, in 2007, studying textiles and printmaking. Learned to crochet by following the directions on a crochet hook package. Founded her line in 2007, having developed her unique style of chain crochet through her studies and a series of internships, blending modern sensibility with intuitive, self-taught jewelry techniques. Known as an artist in her own right, with work exhibited at international museums and galleries. Her art pieces include expressionistic metal masks, brutalist figurines and rough-hewn carvings as well as painterly chain tapestries. This artistic exploration informs the core of all her work, commercial and gallery alike.
