Founded in Paris, 1952, by Egyptian-born Gaby Aghion. Hallmark of the house is the hiring of new, young design talents. Previous designers include Karl Lagerfeld, Martine Sitbon, Stella McCartney, Phoebe Philo and Hannah MacGibbon. Currently designed by Clare Waight Keller, formerly of Pringle of Scotland. Attended Ravensbourne College of Art with an MA in knitwear from London's Royal College of Art. Worked for Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, and Tom Ford-era Gucci.
